There's no changing that but over the years I have come to understand what it is that attracts me to the performance arts. Everyone everywhere has their own personal style; there are personalities, there are personas, and many people are fascinated with the question of what a famous person is really like. This curiosity is especially strong for actors and performers. On the stage, on the movie screen, making artful poses in photographs: the combination of fashion and acting creates a special mystique, and a sense of wonder about the human behind the character. My experiences have taught me that the true talent of a great actor is to be genuine; to overcome the feeling of 'just pretending', to defeat the worry that the performance is not real, this is the skill of someone who can become another person. I am thankful to have met many genuine and good-hearted people in my career, and I am so grateful to them for their help and influence along the way.
